Cleary Gottlieb advised pro bono client Niani Taylor in the formation of an S corporation, Munch Hours, Inc., which is a brunch delivery service.
Ms. Taylor was a star graduate of the Food Business Pathways Program at Start Small Think Big. SSTB is a not-for-profit organization that partners with the New York City Housing Authority, Office of Resident Economic Empowerment & Sustainability, the New York City Department of Small Business Services and the New York City Economic Development Corporation, among others, to assist NYCHA public housing residents and Section 8 voucher holders in formalizing and growing their nascent food businesses.
Munch Hours was incorporated in the State of New York on October 1, 2015, and was recognized at the federal and state level as an S corporation on February 8, 2016, and February 26, 2016, respectively.
