Cleary Gottlieb won pre-merger notice approval from the German Federal Cartel Office (FCO) for Sharp Corporation and Fujitsu Limited in Sharp’s $250 million acquisition of Fujitsu’s liquid crystal display (LCD) manufacturing business. Cleary Gottlieb represented both Sharp and Fujitsu before FCO. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter.
