SoftBank Completes Series A Investment in Gravis Robotics

Cleary Gottlieb represented SoftBank in its $200 million Series A investment in Gravis Robotics, a deep-tech robotics company spun out of ETH Zurich.

Gravis Robotics develops autonomous control systems for heavy construction machinery, enabling excavators and other equipment to operate across a full spectrum from AI-augmented manual control to full autonomy. Backed by SoftBank, Gravis plans to scale its autonomous systems globally, bringing physical AI to a trillion-dollar industry constrained by labor shortages.
