Cleary Gottlieb represented long-time client Southwestern Energy Company, a NYSE-listed company, in a registered public offering of 9,775,000 shares of common stock, including 1,275,000 shares purchased by the underwriters on full exercise of the over-allotment option. Southwestern raised over $575 million in the offering and will use the proceeds to repay $125 million of indebtedness and to fund natural gas exploration and production activities in the Arkoma Basin.
