Cleary Gottlieb has been honored by Start Small Think Big (SSTB) with its first-ever Pro Bono Partner Award for the firm’s contributions to SSTB and its entrepreneurs.
The award recognizes firms that demonstrate a commitment to pro bono programs as part of their core business values and through their activities and partnerships during the previous calendar year.
Cleary regularly partners with SSTB on various initiatives on behalf of low- to moderate-income entrepreneurs, from establishing a monthly Small Business Office Hours session for low-income microentrepreneurs to collaborating on SSTB’s Food Business Pathways Program and hosting on-site small business entity formation clinics.
In addition to these ongoing programs, Cleary attorneys frequently volunteer to provide legal assistance to individual low- to moderate-income entrepreneurs in their efforts to build their businesses, stabilize their incomes, and create jobs in underserved areas.
