TPG Growth in Investment into Apollo Towers and its Myanmar Operating Subsidiary

Cleary Gottlieb acted as counsel to TPG Growth in a $35 million investment into Apollo Towers and its operating subsidiary, Apollo Towers Myanmar. The transaction closed on March 21, 2014.

Apollo Towers Myanmar is building and will manage telecom towers across Myanmar as an official vendor of Telenor Myanmar, which was awarded one of Myanmar’s two telecom licenses following a competitive, government-run auction. Apollo will play a crucial role in the development of a modern mobile communications network in the country.
