The Abu Dhabi Global Market (the “ADGM”) recently announced that it will be opening an arbitration hearing center during the first quarter of 2018.
At the same time, the Paris-based International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce announced that it will be opening its first Middle East and North Africa representative office within the ADGM in January 2018. It is anticipated that these developments will encourage parties based in Abu Dhabi to adopt ADGM-ICC arbitration in their contracts.
