Flight Delays: How Big Law Has Kept the Airline Industry Afloat During the Pandemic

Cleary Gottlieb partners Lisa Schweitzer and Richard Cooper were featured in an article titled, “Flight Delays: How Big Law Has Kept the Airline Industry Afloat During the Pandemic,” by The American Lawyer.

The article discusses how lawyers across the Am Law 100, including Lisa and Rich, have been orchestrating a series of restructurings and debt financings and securing loans for the airline industry in order to overcome challenges brought on by the pandemic. Lisa and Rich discussed their experience guiding LATAM Airlines, the largest airline in Latin America, through a voluntary restructuring and reorganization last spring, and how much of the work to aid the struggling industry still remains.
