Emma Williams’ practice focuses on international litigation and arbitration.

She has experience across a range of cross-border disputes and has represented clients in multiple complex and high-value matters.

Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Emma practiced as a barrister at a leading set of commercial chancery Chambers in London.

Notable Experience

  • Acting for Peugeot Citroën and Fiat Chrysler in the diesel emissions litigation, one of the largest and most complex class actions brought in the UK.

  • Acted for the $1 billion GHF Fund, formerly the Abraaj Growth Markets Health Fund, on claims (including fraudulent misrepresentation, restitution, and claims under applicable insolvency legislation) arising out of a large-scale fraud perpetrated upon the fund.

  • Acted for a multinational manufacturing group in an LCIA arbitration involving claims worth €240 million relating to an M&A transaction.

  • Acted for a multinational engineering and construction company in an ICC arbitration involving claims for breach of contract and negligence valued at $81 million.
