Steven Peters’ practice focuses on patent litigation, particularly in post-grant proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

He has practiced at the PTAB for over 11 years and appeared in more than 120 cases for both patent owners and petitioners, and handled all aspects of those proceedings including, arguing final hearings, depositions, and briefs. He has advised clients on patent issues in a variety of venues, including the PTAB, the ITC, and federal district courts all over the country. His cases have related to a variety of technologies including wireless communication (3G, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, RFID, and Bluetooth), semiconductors, drones, video streaming, vehicle emissions control, and more.

Steven has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering for which he specialized in physical layer algorithms for wireless communication systems.

Steven joined the firm in 2025 from another major international law firm.
