Cleary Gottlieb partners Brandon Hammer and Deborah North, and counsel Ferdisha Snagg participated in ISDA’s 38th Annual General Meeting.

Brandon spoke during the ISDA Symposium: “Breaking the Glass” on the panel, “Managing the Operation Risks of a Close Out,” which discussed practical approaches to key components of the close-out process, including delivering termination-related and asset control notices, requesting quotations for close outs, and dealing with interventions by resolution and sanctions authorities.

Deborah spoke on the panel, “Tackling Greenwashing in Carbon Markets,” which explored industry initiatives to set standards for high-quality carbon credits and establish standard definitions and documentation, as well as the steps regulators are taking to clamp down on malpractice in this market.

Ferdisha spoke on the panel, “Future of Derivatives Markets: Shaken or Stirred? ISDA & WIFM Panel Discussion & Reception,” which explored emerging trends, technological advancements, and regulatory shifts that are shaping the landscape of the derivatives markets.
