On May 15, 2009, Cleary Gottlieb partner Steven L. Wilner and Cleary Gottlieb counsel Wallace L. Larson, Jr. participated in a program that addressed the ethical issues that arise when attorneys have clients with assets or interests in multiple jurisdictions.
Through a series of fact patterns and hypotheticals, issues that arise in multijurisdictional practice, especially in the areas of trusts and estates and real estate, were illustrated and formed the basis for a discussion on how to handle the situations ethically and responsibly.
