Cleary Gottlieb Pro Bono Counsel Rafi Stern co-chaired PLI’s Serving on a Nonprofit Board 2026: Practical and Ethical Considerations for Attorneys program, which provided practical guidance on finding the right board opportunity, responsibilities, fundraising, and using legal expertise to make a meaningful impact.

Rafi moderated the panel, “Fundraising and Nonprofit Board Service: Understanding Nonprofit Finances,” and spoke on the panels, “Finding the “Right Board” for You: How to Do It and What It Means Legally to Serve on a Nonprofit Board: Bringing Maximum Value to Your Role,” and “Understanding Nonprofit Finances (continued): Ethical Issues in Serving on a Nonprofit Board.”
