Cleary Gottlieb Earns IRAP Most Valuable Law Firm Award 2018

October 1, 2018

Cleary Gottlieb has been selected as the recipient of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) 2018 Most Valuable Law Firm award.

The award recognizes the firm’s pro bono partnership with the Harvard Law School IRAP chapter in representing Middle Eastern refugees seeking resettlement around the world.

“Cleary Gottlieb is honored to receive IRAP’s 2018 Most Valuable Law Firm award. With our long-standing commitment to pro bono immigration work, we were immediately drawn to IRAP’s mission when approached by the Harvard chapter seven years ago,” said Cleary partner Jeffrey Rosenthal. “Working with IRAP on dozens of refugee resettlements has been inspirational. The moving successes we have secured for our clients have been a testament to the optimism and tireless efforts of the IRAP staff, the Harvard students with whom we have had the pleasure of working, the outstanding and dedicated associate teams at Cleary, and most significantly, our brave refugee clients. We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership.”

Cleary lawyers in the firm’s New York, Washington, D.C., London, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, and Abu Dhabi offices have partnered with IRAP on various global initiatives to represent vulnerable refugees and displaced persons.

The award was presented at the IRAP Annual Student Summit on September 29, 2018. Cleary’s Director of Pro Bono Practice Jen Kroman was a speaker on the Pro Bono panel at the event and provided insights for students working with pro bono attorneys on IRAP cases.
