Cleary Gottlieb Hosts Careers in Law Webinar With the National Literacy Trust

Volunteers from Cleary Gottlieb’s Social Mobility Working Group in London held a Careers in Law event that will reach over 2,300 students across the United Kingdom.

The event was organized in collaboration with our longstanding charity partner, The National Literacy Trust. 340 students joined the webinar live, and over 2,000 further students in 26 schools across the National Literacy Trust’s network are expected to watch the recording and engage with the resources over the coming days.

The event introduced the students to various career pathways in the legal sector and offered insights into practicing law as a corporate solicitor. Associate George Taylor, Trainee Solicitors Caleb-Daniel Oyekanmi and Sabrina Stewart, and Human Resources Coordinator Alex Davies led the webinar.

Cleary Gottlieb has partnered with the National Literacy Trust since 2016 to support the literacy skills of some of the least advantaged students in the UK and widen access to City careers.
