Cleary Gottlieb Lawyers Honored at The Legal Aid Society Pro Bono Publico Awards

October 29, 2019

Cleary Gottlieb and 14 of the firm’s lawyers received The Legal Aid Society’s 2019 Pro Bono Publico Award.

During the past year, Cleary collaborated with Legal Aid on numerous housing rights, immigration, small business, and criminal justice projects, including filing lawsuits to stop ICE courthouse arrests and securing a groundbreaking class action victory to seal hundreds of old marijuana convictions.

Cleary’s Director of Pro Bono Practice Jennifer Kroman was also recognized with the Public Interest Law Leadership Award for her extraordinary contributions leading the firm’s pro bono practice.

Cleary has partnered with The Legal Aid Society, the U.S.’s oldest and largest legal services organization, for over 25 years and received the Pro Bono Publico Award each year since 2009.
