Cleary Gottlieb was recognized at Latin Lawyer’s 2022 Deal of the Year Awards for advising on the Banking and Finance Deal of the Year – CEMEX’s $3.25 billion sustainability-linked loan.
Cleary represented the lenders in CEMEX’s syndicated unsecured credit agreement with an ESG component, which consisted of a $1.5 billion, five-year amortizing term loan and a $1.75 billion, five-year committed revolving credit facility.
Cleary partner Jorge Juantorena was also presented with his International Lawyer of the Year Award at the ceremony in São Paulo, which he won in February.
