Cleary Gottlieb Wins Legal Aid Society 2017 Pro Bono Publico Award

Cleary Gottlieb has been recognized by the Legal Aid Society with its annual Pro Bono Publico Award.

The firm won the award for its support role with Legal Society’s immigration hotline and “Outstanding Advocacy in Defense of the Accused” for Cleary’s partnership with the society’s Special Litigation Unit and Exploitation Intervention Project to file D.H. et al v. City of New York, which challenges the constitutionality of New York loitering statutes targeting transgender women of color.
