Cleary Gottlieb’s London office hosted a Careers Masterclass for first-year university students as part of its longstanding partnership with City Solicitors Horizons.
The Careers Masterclass is designed to provide first-hand experience of the firm’s work and to support the students as they prepare for law firm applications and assessment days. Alongside an introduction to the firm’s practice areas, the students took part in a disputes workshop, a training session on interview skills, and a panel discussion with Cleary’s trainee solicitors in London.
Cleary is one of the founding firms for City Solicitors Horizons, a social mobility initiative supporting undergraduates in the United Kingdom aspiring to a career in law. Since 2015, Cleary has offered mentoring, masterclasses, and work experience initiatives to support students under the program as part of the firm’s wider efforts to improve access to the legal profession.
