EG On The Move Acquires Prax UK Petrol Station Forecourt Business

July 7, 2026

Cleary Gottlieb represented EG On The Move in connection with its successful acquisition of the 85 Prax petrol station forecourt network across the UK.

The transaction brings EG On The Move’s UK portfolio to approximately 285 forecourt locations. The acquired business will continue to operate under a commission operator model, with EG On The Move working alongside individual site operators to enhance site performance, improve the customer experience, and unlock long-term growth opportunities. EG On The Move plans to collaborate with its operator partners to identify investment opportunities across the network, including enhancements to motorist welfare facilities, expanded foodservice and retail offerings, and the introduction of fast electric vehicle charging infrastructure where appropriate.

Cleary has a long-standing relationship with EG On The Move, having acted in connection with EG On The Move’s acquisition of EG Group’s UK business in 2024, the further acquisition of 98 sites in the UK from Irish forecourts group Applegreen in 2025, its acquisition (subject to regulatory approval) of EG Group’s portfolio of c. 260 forecourt sites in France in February 2026 and the recent addition of UK sites through the acquisition of MPK Garages Limited in April 2026.
