EG On The Move to Acquire EG Group’s France Business

Cleary Gottlieb is representing EG On The Move in connection with its acquisition of EG Group’s portfolio of c. 260 forecourt sites in France.

The transaction, which is subject to works council information and consultation requirements and customary regulatory approvals, represents a significant step in EG On The Move realizing its international growth ambitions and establishing itself as a long-term strategic investor in the mobility sector.

Cleary has a long-standing relationship with EG On The Move, having acted in connection with its acquisition of EG Group’s UK business in 2024, and the further acquisition of 98 sites in the UK from Irish forecourts group Applegreen in 2025.

EG On The Move is a leading petrol and convenience retail operator, investing in and delivering high-quality fuel and electric vehicle charging, foodservice, grocery, and merchandise in modern, well-invested, and convenience-led destinations.
